Unique to the Bay Area, San Francisco Middle School of the Arts (MSArts) is the only private arts school in the city. Our mission is to provide students with an exceptional education in traditional arts and academics, while focusing on character development. The curriculum nurtures in students universal values and a sense of civic duty so they may positively contribute to the world.

San Francisco Middle School of the Arts is fully accredited by the accrediting commission for schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Our average class size is 10 or fewer students per class.

All students participate in 2 major productions each year. Throughout the year, our students also contribute to the local community by participating in various performance events.

San Francisco Middle School of the Arts is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.

Our teachers take a holistic approach to the development of young minds.
