Financial Aid Opportunities
San Francisco High School of the Arts awards need-based tuition assistance to domestic students on a case-by-case basis. We take into account a family’s need and the availability of funds before offering financial aid.
We partner with School and Student Services (SSS) in our financial aid process. To begin your financial aid application, you will complete the SSS Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS). The PFS is a comprehensive application that will take some time to complete.
You’ll need your most recent tax return before you can start. The application may take some time to complete, so we recommend that you begin the application as soon as you can.
We also recommend that you review the wide range of materials that SSS has put together to help families with the financial aid process. They are found at solutionsbysss.com/parents/resources. An introduction to the parents’ financial statement can be found here.
If you have questions or need any assistance, please call the SSS family support center at (800) 344-8328. The center offers daytime, evening and weekend hours. Parents can also email firstname.lastname@example.org for help.

Complete the Parent Financial Statement (PFS) Online with SSS.
After families submit detailed financial information online, SSS analyzes the data and recommends to the school an amount that each family can expect to pay for educational expenses. All families must complete a Parents Financial Statement (PFS) online. In the case of separated or divorced parents, both parents must complete the full PFS.
