Private lessons: Our professional teachers will provide two hours of private lessons on your principal instrument each week. You can review our teachers’ resumes on our website.
Sectional Rehearsals: Students will receive sectional rehearsals coaching every morning for two hours in preparation for a full rehearsal (String Orchestra and Wind Ensemble).
String Orchestra: The whole group will rehearse in the afternoon one hour each day. Students will have the opportunity to work with an outstanding orchestral conductor. Students receive their parts several weeks before the start of the program and are expected to prepare their parts thoroughly in advance of the first rehearsal.
Wind Ensemble: The whole group will rehearse in the afternoon one hour each day. Students will have the opportunity to work with an outstanding band conductor. Music theory: Students will spend three hours per week studying the rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic elements of music as they relate to playing their instruments. Your class level will be determined by your entering theory assessment.
Performances: All participants will perform as an orchestra at the end of the program. Any instrumentalist who would like to perform a solo during the recital can indicate this on their application so that special coaching can be arranged.
